Oh you clever, clever boy...

I am so glad that Anthony and I are teaching a Shakespeare class this winter. I fell out of touch with the Bard after sophomore year of college. And teaching this class has me falling in love with his writing and his plays all over again. What a clever, clever chap.

It makes me extremely jealous to know that David Tennant was playing Hamlet with Patrick Stewart across the pond...grrrr, to be living in London......

Alas...teaching this class and seeing Hamlet at the Springer next weekend will have to do. Ahh Hamlet! I'm very excited to see it at the Springer...Ron, Paul, Jef, Jens, Anthony...it's gonna be one hell of a show.

In other news, I have rediscovered the wonder that is the library. People, I have been missing out. I love roaming the shelves looking for good reads and looking at all the History Channel dvds that they have....yes, yes...I am a nerd.

They really do need to get some Doctor Who at the library. Because I'm too cheap to go out and by the dvd sets. I mean $84 for Series 2?!?!? Gah!

Alright...I'm off to buy some bedsheets. Because I need new ones...I guess.

It's been a long long time.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

It's 2009. How time flies.

How's life, you might ask? It's rather monotonous and dull, since coming back from Ireland.

Yes, my trip to Ireland was most excellent and wonderfully refreshing. It was something I truly needed. I was completely at home in the Emerald Isle. And a part of me is seriously considering relocating. (Now...if that was really a possibility???) Plus, the copious amounts of alcohol were great too.

I have decided to quit my job at The Growing Room. That is probably a big move. Probably. It was part-time, but I did receive a steady paycheck. Unfortunately, it is not for me. I thought it was a match, but...not right now. Plus, I'm starting up Winter classes at Springer, and I am very excited for the Shakespeare class and would like to focus on that right now.

I guess that means I need to find another job. So...if you know of anyone hiring in the Columbus, GA area...let me know! : )

That is the most exciting thing going on right now. Other than that it is: sleep, wake, eat, shower, work, eat, sleep...repeat.

There are a few things on my mind, and I feel that I am going through a big change personally.

I think interior design is pretty neat.....

So is moving to LA......

If I Were A Boy...

Ugh...I had a horrible day at Growing Room. I'll just have to push on through. I talked to Adam and that made me feel better.

But, I got the great news that I will be teaching Winter classes at the Springer! I'll be teaching a Shakespeare class with Jackson, and then possibly an acting class for 3rd-5th graders. That will make me very happy...plus, it will be a nice change from the craziness of Growing Room. Seriously.

Can't wait til the weekend.

Hello Employment!

I am now employed by Growing Room Inc.! I'm working part-time at their Aflac: Imagination Station 1 with their after-school program. I'm very excited to be working again, even if it is part-time. Orientation today was pretty intense. I was hit with so much information and guidelines to follow that I hope I don't crash and burn on my first day. I would hate to mess up procedure. Bah, scary!

I start officially on Monday and will work with them...indefinitely. I don't know if I would want to work with them full-time. We'll have to see after a few weeks, I guess.

The 5th of November...

When I woke up this morning, I felt rejuvenated. Barack Obama is the President-Elect, and in my opinion, the country is moving in the right direction. We're ready for this.

Then, thanks to Facebook, I saw how some of my friends are saying ignorant things. This is a time when America should be proud and united that we exercised our rights as Americans and voted and elected a new president. This result cannot be changed, so instead of saying nasty, bigoted remarks. What makes it even worse is that my family is part of this group. It saddens me, and frustrates me to no end. Let us embrace this day and work together for a better future. supposed to be the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA? Right?

But on a lighter note, I have an interview with Growing Room tomorrow at 9AM. I am very excited, and am crossing my fingers that I get this job. I can't just sit at home all day.

Here's hoping that tomorrow is a great day.
